    trigger ?s

    hey guys

i read stuff on the internet and just when i think i understand my options for upgrades ill talk to my local apron wearing gun pro and thats when i get conflicting information. so i was hoping you fine folks could help me out.

to start the rifle i am upgrading is a smith and wesson M&P 15T

i heard about timney drop in triggers then went to talk to my gunsmith and he said "well you want to shoot 5.56 rounds through your rifle and one of those triggers wont strike the pin hard enough to SEND IT. so you want a two stage trigger".

here are my concerns: weight of pull, factory is 7lbs. and i would like 3.5-4 lbs. with a very short trigger reset,

    so here are the questions.

    1. is that true? about the 5.56 rounds.

    2. can any of you describe the feel of the two stage trigger that you have and if its matches my concerns.

    thanks

    1) i dont think thats true

    2) the best way i can describe a RRA 2 stage is like this ,the trigger feels loose a bit allowing you to gently squeeze it , then with a bit more squeeze BOOM!

i also recommend trying out a 2 stage trigger before buying one ... IMO ( this is just me ) i didnt really get into the 2 stage trigger

If you're worried about light strikes, get the AR10 version.

If this were an issue we'd hear about it.

2-stage vs. single has ZIP to do with light strikes. A 2-stage trigger moves lightly for about 1/16" (take-up) then hits more resistance, before it breaks glass-like.

Look into the JP trigger, as well, if you single stage triggers.
