If legal I need to buy this lower. I’ll wait what the consensus decide
I need a colt lower
I can’t find the buy button.

I don't remember how long ago they used "M4" on their lowers.., but I've seen "M4 Carbine" used for the past 10 years.. and some recently coming in with just "Carbine" that have serials that start with "CR".
Not sure this answers your question.
I've not seen any colt lowers with just "M4" on their lowers at least since I've been an FFL (2009).UG Imports - Fremont, CA FFL - Transfers, New Gun Sales

I got a 6933 lower coming, with just the Colt Logo and "Carbine" marking. With appendix B of the AW bill names Colt "Law Enforcement 6920". Does that me if it says Colt M4 Carbine instead of Law Enforcement, it can be DROSed?Comment

Yes.
(make) Colt (model) M4 Carbine is considered an off list lower and they have been legally transferred in CA since 2012.
^Colt made/sold factory equipped "bullet button" AR15 carbines marked as M4 Carbine with product code of LE6920CA. At the time they were offered, CA DOJ BOF said they were not make/model banned.sigpic

Can't wait to watch it, but it will be a couple days until I can. What is his take on the current crop of 6920s, etc.?Originally posted by Ishootforbloodhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CNXD_LUT61M
The link above is to a 40 minute video comparison of the Older LE6920 vs the CR6920. The gentleman doing the comparison alludes to having worked for Colt. I’ve also read that he worked for another company and was a subcontractor that worked for Colt. Regardless, he’s very knowledgeable and articulate in regards to the Colt rifles. If you lived through the Green Labels, and then the blue labels, large pins, sear blocks, semi cut BCGs, the ban era rifles (1994-2004) etc., then you’ll be able to follow everything this guy says in real time. Honestly, if you don’t own an LE6920 or CR6920, you probably won’t watch the entire video. It’s a good video.Last edited by imarangemaster; 11-07-2022, 8:07 AM.Comment

According to The Colt AR15 Resource.com
After pausing production of commercial AR-15 rifles in late 2019 to reduce excess commercial inventory and to focus production capacity on an enormous backlog of law enforcement and military contra…
In 2020, colt decided to switch to the all encompassing model "Colt Carbine" markings to encompass all of the 6920s, ceasing M4 Carbine and Law Enforcement differentiated markings. Not sure if they will still use the LE prefix, or switch to the civilian CR prefix for serial numbersComment
