AR-15 Triangular handgrip

I am interested in purchasing an Armalite M15A2B upper that has a 20" barrel. I wanted to install the M16 triangular handguard on it. Does anybody know if the triangular handguard will work with this upper?

They will, but you have to replace the front handgaurd cap. Normaly they have A2(round) caps in the front, you need to replace it with a triangle one. I believe the delta ring works for both kinds.

Thanks guys... looks like that's what I'll do. I'm thinking that there may be some advantages with using the A2 configurations (extraction deflector, better adjustments, etc.). I do like the triangular retro look though. It was was I used in the airforce back in the 70's.
So from what you're saying... the Delta Ring, and the front cap are already set up to handle the round and triangular type guards. I'm also figuring that they are already set up for the right length. This way I wouldn't need to move the front site.
So these would just snap in where the originals are located, without removing the site? I see that they are two pieces.

My CMMG 20" rifle lenght upper came with a triangular end cap.

Armalite and Rock River support said that they would fit.
Bushmaster support said that the heat shields would hit, and that I would have to make some modifications.
Like BroncoBob mentioned... I saw a CMMG A4 upper at a gun shop, and it had the triangular end cap.
LMT doesn't make the 20" upper.
I haven't checked on Stag yet.

I like the M16A1 triangular handguards; they feel much more ergonomic than the 16A2 interchangeable round handguards.

You can also get triangle HGs in carbine length. I got these from Tonys Custom Uppers. There is also carbine length walnut furniture out there, as well.
