    Recommend me a factory AR

Son has an AK pistol with brace, and a 20” Colt AR.

He now wants a 16” AR. Budget is less than $1300.

Personally, I think BCMs are over priced at 1300 theyre going for. FN is too much money. What would u recommend for a quality AR between 900-1300?

Open to other rifles that take STANAG.

      Another vote for BCM.

OP, if you think $1300 for BCM is overpriced then you should be considering a kit build from PSA

I like BCM. I still havent adjusted to some of todays elevated prices. I still see BCM as a 1000 gun.

At 1300, I'm inclined to look around further. At 1300, I'll throw him a fiver and upgrade to a Bren.

If we can find a complete 16" Aero Precision M4E1, I think that would be a decent 1000 dollar gun for him.

          Still open to other ideas.

Windham Weaponry is often overlooked too.

OP, buying a stripped lower makes so much more sense these days.

You can build the lower up and then buy a nice complete upper.

If I can build a lower and upper, you and your son can do it. It's so rewarding to do it this way.

Or buy a Colt mentioned above. IMO, it will hold a better resale value, provided you can resale it.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Almost everyone likes DD, BCM, LaRue, Windham, Colt, LMT, LWRC, Noveske, Triarc, Geissele.

PSA Premium with CHF FN barrel and a Geissele tube is pretty damn good and inexpensive on a daily deal. Make sure to get a Toolcraft or Microbest BCG and whatever lower.... pretty affordable.

LaRue complete uppers are a deal, even with the price increase (not offering the $800 UU kit lately - complete gun minus stripped lower and CA BS)... their accuracy upper would work and probably blow away other options for accuracy.

I like PK Firearms built uppers the same way I like the PSA CHF uppers... real good deals with real good parts expertly assembled... Noveske, Rosco, Faxon, DD, etc... barrels, tubes... cheap.
