AR Gas rings...recommendations please

Gas rings on a friend's AR15 look pretty worn out. Are there any brands that are better than others? Thinking it's not a bad idea to have some extras too.

i just buy whatever is available from midway, brownells, stag and others.

I've had best results with McFarland 1 piece rings for longevity. I keep old style 3 piece rings for back ups. McFarland's are easier to r&r when the time arises.
