    My New Toy

I just finished messing around with what started life as a Cetme Kit. I took it out to the desert yesterday and I have to say I'm very happy with it. Great build quality as always by Enterprise, then accessories from RobertRTG.

Sweet. I am not familiar with that weapon, what is vertical in the middle of barrel?

That's the cocking lever. Think of it as the big brother of the MP5 in 7.62 X 51. I call it Cetme-Stein. At this point it's really an HK G3 with Cetme bolt, trunions and cocking tube. I'm thinking of switching out to a Navy Polymer grip and HK trigger pack, but not sure it's worth it.

By the way, 32 inches with stock collapsed and rad lock on lower for Ca compliance.

Looks great, I'm jealous! I'd definitely go with the navy grip/lower.

I think I spent 900 plus on parts kit, receiver, assembly and radlock. Then there was the 922r parts and random accessories. I'd probably go the PTR route if I were to do it again, but I thought I was going to be able to assemble this myself. Then reality hit that I don't know how to weld and Enterprise is good at this stuff so I went with them.

Very cool man! I bought a CETME kit a while back & as I started into cleaning up the old kit & finding parts, I realized that the amount of time I was going to have in it would cost me more than buying another PTR, so I went that route & ditched the kit on gunbroker. Props to you for finishing your project!

That is a very nice rifle. Recoil on these rifles is very manageable. It's a great platform.

Yeah, I'm really surprised by the low recoil. Of course its not a lite weapon, but thought it would kick at least as hard as my FAL, but it doesn't. Also surprised by the accuracy with irons.

haha.. actually last year's texas hog hunt, we only used ar15's, Ak's, SKS, and 22's. bagged 1200lbs worth of hogs between 5 people. ALL the hogs killed were in thick woods and half of them were shot on the run". The 22's were used to dispatch downed hogs. I just want something different and a G3/CETME would be excellent for the thick woods.
