Anyone a fan of or have had hands-on experience with the LaRue Tactical MBT-2S?

I picked up a couple on sale late last years for some builds I have planned. I have not shot with them yet obviously but was curious about people's opinions of them. I'm not a trigger snob at all but I wanted to go better than 7-8lb gritty mil spec for these builds. All purpose, target, plinking, maybe three gun at some point? The reviews overall are that their value equation is very high, which is what I like, I bought them for under $100 ea. What say you? Anyone been shooting one for a while?

Had under 200 rounds plinking experience, compared it with the SSA(side-by-side). I couldn't tell the differences, the SSA is definitely not worth 2x the MBTs(In my book). Planning to add more MBTs to the one I have already. Best bang-for-the buck trigger out there(I think).

Seems to be the consensus in the gun review/magazine realm. If I tried them all, I probably couldn't decide which of the aftermarket triggers are the best, my rifle skills are not that refined and you don't know what you don't know. But I do know that I wanted better than gritty, nasty MilSpec for trying to hit some steel a ways out and the price was good so I am hopeful I made a smart choice.

Great trigger I personally don't like the wideness of the trigger but that is just me. Overall great trigger.

I like the Wilson Combat Paul Hower but the MBT 2S is one of my favorite triggers

It is the go to for mid/low money builds. I will pick more up next sale for sure.

As a replacement for the $40-50 lower parts kit trigger, it's night and day better. For a $100 ($89 for 3) it's a very good aftermarket trigger. It may not be a $300 upgrade but it's plenty good for range plinking.

I have several and like them very much, especially when they were $80

Exactly, when comparing to the mil-spec that come with lpk, day & night difference, and it's especially worth it if you buy the 5-pk each time, come out to $80/each [emoji16]

I’ll add that they are well worth it.

I have both the Larue MBT-2S and the Geissele SSA-E. I believe the Larue is 70% of the Geissele for a fraction of the price.

You can't go wrong with both. I have the SSA-E on my go-to rifle while I have the MBT on my other builds.

I love them, I was all about the geissele triggers, ssa and 3 gun, Larues trigger is on that same level at half the price and I like the wider feel.

Good feedback, I can't wait to do my builds. These LaRues and the rifle kits have just been sitting around, gathering dust since last year as I have been too busy with other projects to get to them yet (new Reloading bench build, bought a few guns I wanted where I had to drive a LOT on the weekends, etc.)
My watchwords with gun stuff while living in Commifornia has increasingly been "Buy now, figure it out later because if you don't, the politicians will implement new tyranny that will make acquiring whatever you want that's gun-related more expensive, more hassle or they will simply ban what you want". Wow, that's a lot of watchwords!

How many more legislative sessions do we have before triggers become "Precursor Parts"? Slings? Sure. BCGs? Of course.

Love them! Bought a bunch when they were on sale for $80. Worthy upgrage to a cheap LPK trigger group.
