    Oberland Arms

Have any of you heard of Oberland Arms? I just found their website and they have some awesome machined .308 lowers that take HK91 mags. They also have really nice standard machined lowers.

    Please, calm down.

I have heard of these. I doubt they could be imported.

I think semi-auto rifles that accept HK91 magazines are banned from importation.

Yup, I heard about them a while ago, but as everyone has said, you can't really import them.

Nice eye candy, but nothing us civilians will own any time soon.

Oberland is the manufacturer that is making the HK lower receivers.

Don't expect to be able to purchase anything off that site. Can you say non-importable?

their selectors and pins are nice! they are one of the best ar companies in europe. it makes sense to make their 308 with the g3 magazine. i wonder if they are notched? our ar 308 makes more sense using m14 magazines. stock magazines would be even better.

Yes, they make some really nice rifles. I've played/shot with a couple in Germany and they are really sweet, but their prices are HIGH. Their cheapest, standard, version is almost $2000 and the sniper version is like $5500.

The lowers are un-importable, but everything else should be ok.

I've got contacts in Germany that could help with the paperwork on their side, but a FFL and ATF import permit would still be needed for anything worth more than $100.

Yup you are right, these rifles cannot be imported not because of the mag, because they do not meet SPORTING FIREARMS category. But however you have a US made rifle that takes G3/HK91 mags.
