Best Featureless Muzzle Device Options for 5.56?

Mainly looking at the Daniel Defense Wave muzzle break ($145) and the VG6 Gamma 556 muzzle break ($85). Any other recommendations? It is for a featureless DD M4V7.

I hate my muzzle brakes. I am going with thread protectors in the future. I don't think that the noise from a muzzle brake is worth the change in recoil.

It depends what you are looking for. If you want a brake there are plenty of options, if you want to keep the stock look, AIM Sports makes an "A2 style" brake that looks nice and I use now. I was using the Strike Industries Warthog brake that is nice because it is short but it wasn't nice for people next to me. I had an AR stoner brake that was a little heavy and also blasted people next to me.

These days I would buy another KAW linear compensator. Let the target get the blast wave, not my ears.

Linear comps, 5.56 doesn't generate enough recoil to warrant the blast a brake would generate.

Unless you plan on shooting by yourself, a linear compensator. Brakes are obnoxious.

I recently attended a carbine course in AZ and luckily I brought a warden with me. Otherwise, I might've been tarred and feathered.

There are literally hundreds of different brakes on the market, and if there was a single "best" one, everybody would buy that one. (read my sig line) But so far there are a dozen posts in this thread and each one suggests something different.

Pick one that you like. Any one.
