Fondled an M1A at Oak Tree yesterday, Standard $$$$$

    Wow,

Fondled a Standard Walnut M1A yesterday $1789! Tax DROS $2000! Drcali has one for $1300 in the market place! With some nice add ons. The only one thing between me and DrCalis M1A is the money! A2

    I remember when M1A standard was $1,100.

Knowing what I know now, I would have just bought two more CMP Garands.

I agree that you can’t beat the value of a CMP Garand. However, I have been satisfied with my M1A Loaded and bedded myself. Bought mine used and put another 4K rounds without any issues.

I paid around $400 for my first M1A, but that was back in the mid 70s. I bought it used. It had a SN somewhere around 300 to 500 and a NM barrel. That calculates out to about $1,500 in today's money so prices haven't changed a whole lot in 45 years.

That one in the market place is a great deal. If I didn't already have an M1A, I'd have bought it.

I was in diapers. And I'm old. LOL. The cars, guns, records, etc. you had access to. I am betting there are a lot of those you wish you never sold.

Each sale funded the next one in line!

I sold that M1A to my buddy and he still has it. He's a smarter guy than me.

In due time, I have a mother in law that is 82, and a kid in college. Gonna try to pick up extra shifts at work. I told drcali that if he still has it in 60 days, I would take it. A2

I have a M1A Loaded. Bought it new from Turners back in 2005 I believe. On sale $1400.00.

Hopefully you can swing it, that's a really fair price for a Loaded model.
