Shot my first owned 5.56 today, right out of dros

I shot my new rifle today right after getting it out of dros, 7-1 twist, 16" barrell, 5.56, 223. caliber fun to shoot and less expensive then my socom 308 caliber.
Now if I could just figure how to move the front sight post down to raise my shot group I would have the rifle sighted in.

WHERED IT GO !, IT'S ONLY A LITTLE LEAD.LETER SEE ,UP 40 CLICKS AND LEFT 20 CLICKS," OH DARN, I DUNO WHERE IT IS?

Very nice! What sling is that on that M1A? I have been meaning to get one, but for the life of me can't remember who makes it.

Dump the Magpul sights. They're mounted very awkwardly.

To adjust the front sight post down, you'll probably need an A2 Front Sight Tool:

"A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have." --Gerald Ford
"Government is essentially the negation of liberty." --Ludwig von Mises

Damn 7 in 1 twist, I didn't even know they make those. It would lead me to believe that you are shooting pretty inaccurately with that barrel unless your bullets are like 700 grains or something.

Or if your a cheap mofo like me, just use the tip of your 5.56 round to adjust the front sight if you cant find anyone at the range that has a tool for it.

+1 Don't need to spend $5 when a round is right in your palm to adjust the front sight

Did you get a roll pin for the front sight post? There should be one.

+1 the rear sight kinda dangling when it is folded down... that's not the way it is supposed to be.... ditch them...

As much as I liked Magpul stuff, I don't dig MBUS at all.

Lastly, most CASV build are with standard FSB.... with this build of yours, I don't know if you can put in a rail mounted front sight.... and then put a rear sight in its appropriate location (ie. directly on the flat top).... there may just not be a good sights mounting solution hence the original owner sold this piece...

This is one of the those awkward build I had seen...
