    Sig 556 question

Id like to purchase a Sig 556 classic but i was told i would have to have the folding stock pinned. How do i do this without making it permenant and are there multiple options for achieving this?

The point is you need the rifle to be >30" when the stock is collapsed.

You can either pin the stock, add something out the back when it's folded, or put an extended muzzle device on it.

I've not inspected a Sig classic stock, but there's always a way to do it so it's not permanent (just make sure it requires a tool and won't easily come off).

The Bay Area Gun Vault guys just did some for their Sig 556 Classics. They added a piece of material inside the button that you press to fold the stock. The only way to remove it is to drive out the roll pin on the hinge and stuff.
