I have no reason to assume Colt is making up stories and lying and not running away with Youtuber speculation.

Maybe they meant that as “yep we previously sub contracted out making it and we box em up in our warehouse , and we still do that now”

In 2018 unions sued colt, and alleged that Colt laid off large numbers of staff and outsourced production of all major rifle components including bolts and barrels.

Personally, if I really wanted colt, I would get an old one, and verify markings in person before buying
