    quick ar lower question

    when i cock the hammer back, the hammer does not engage the disconnector, and it only engages the disconnector if i hold down the trigger when cocking the hammer. is this normal?

      oh and also, i cock the hammer, let it go back to uncock, but i cant get my selector into safe, how about that?

          are you saying that there is no way to get the AR into safe with the hammer uncocked?

              There is no need to select the safe position when the rifle is not cocked. If it makes you feel better you can always lock the bolt back and then select safe.
