Bubbas from the Khyber Pass Boys

    Hi Gunners,

More crappy picts of a few of my Bubbas.

    From top to bottom:

Parts built gun in a jungle stock, scrubbed bits, blue bolt carrier, Alby bayo, navel sling.

The Canadian Deer Slayer - A rifle that came with the barrel pre cut at 18.5 inches, Mojo peep (had no front sight), neutered FSB, 5 round mag, Butler Creek furniture with no-vent Choate HG, black sling. Came in crappy camo wood. Matching numbers.

Firstist home built Paratrooper in a bayo slot inletted Para stock & cheese greater HG, Williams peep, P50 front sight, TriDelta threaded brake, VZ58 sling, matching numbers.

A restocked Paratrooper with French Tickler HG (another gun that came ruin't in camo), an SKS sling I'd not seen before. Receiver, bolt & carrier match, mag and TG match.

They're all really good looking rifles that handle sweet. PAX

I'll bet they all shoot well...

The SKS is a real neat platform. You have brought these back to life!

Thanks fellas. Among my hobbies is SKS rescue & repurpose. One of my buds has crowning and refacing tools, so you can get creative since the platform is so simplistic and robust. The mechanics are on a parallel universe with air cooled VW and Ruger 10/22. The recent price uptick has taken the acquisition fun out of all three mechanisms. PAX

The Paratrooper has one. The other 2 short rifles can't accommodate them. The phenolic stocked rifle had one but I stole it for one of the SKSs I sold. The rods do complete the rifle but I never use them for cleaning. I just got 4 rods given to me, from a forum member who got them off flea bay for $2 bucks a piece. Of the 7 rifle I sold, I was 5 rods short. PAX
