    AR Auto Loading Failure

I have a PSA .556 upper and lower that I put together. I shot. 223 out of it. Every 3rd round would not auto load. I read that it could be in need of a different buffer spring or something about the gas hole not lining up. The rounds that don't auto load look like the pic below and one jammed. Any suggestions?

It was some reload .223. Perhaps I should try some quality. 556?

I forgot to add that. I used two different 30rd Promag and a 10 rd ruger mag.

Promags are trash just toss them looks to me like underpowered that isnt fully cycling the action and or bad mags that are not pushing the rounds up

Double check your gas port is lined up and the tiny pin isn't loose or fell out.

PSA's are generally OVERgassed to start with. Loose gasblock/tube is my guess.

                    And PROmags, AREN'T.

                      It's your cheap reload ammo.
                      You don't need 556 ammo.
Any good 223 rem ammo will.work fine.

Thanks for the responses guys. Ill try better ammo then inspect the gas block to make sure its properly aligned and tight.

That exact thing happened to me to with some IMI 5.56 77gr, my old Gen 2 10/20 Magpul springs were weak and it was causing ftf.. Swapped to a M3 10/30 PMag and all is good..

Are you near LA? I go to Angeles shooting range typically bi-weekly, infact going tomorrow, you’re welcome to try my factory ammo and mags, and inspect your rifle, if ammo isn’t it we can swap parts with one of my functioning rifles.

Is the brass from your personal reloads? If the brass is from your loads you have to make sure the sizing die is set correctly so the brass is fully sized then trim to length.
