    Which setup

Sorry is this is an ongoing question. I'm looking to build a rifle bug just don't know what would meet my requirements and funds.

Looking for something in .223 or .308. Would like to set this one up for longer distance. Possibly do coyote hunting, but don't want a sniper rifle. Guess what I'm tryingto say is like a tacticool ar15 with bipod and scope.

Was gunning for ar but now looking at galleries, anything would look cool. Mostly be at range.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Ar15 will be built after this.

Why not just build a 20" or 24" AR and throw a decent scope on there? You'll be much happier with semi-auto instead of a bolt in the long run I think and .223 should be plenty for coyotes, ammo is cheaper, lighter etc, lot's of plus points there.

              That gun is sweet.
Haven't really thought about semi vs bolt. Some guy told me that could get in trouble with a semi if caught shooting coyotes?

Didn't think he knew what he was saying

There is absolutely no issue using a semiauto while hunting.
                  You were right about him.

If you do end up using it for hunting, you're not gonna want a heavy barrel to lug around, so keep that in mind when you build. I've had great results with a short 'Socom' barrel from CMMG. It's heavier than a standard profile, so I get good accuracy but not as heavy as a 'varmint' barrel.

If you're going to hunt with it, look at something like the RRA predator pursuit series.

I would suggest the ideal barrel would be a rifle gassed 18" stainless with a medium-ish or SPR-style contour. You could also go for something similar to a National Match upper.
