What mags, what ammo? Bolt overidding the top round is usually either the bolt is not coming back far enough (bad gas system, weak ammo, too heavy a recoilspring/heavy buffer) or a bad mag.

Sounds like you have a blockage in your gas system, or a really bad leak.

Check your gas key, make sure the two screws are tight and check for anything blocking the orifice.

When you rack the ch, do you pull it all the way back and just let it go? If you are not, that could be contributing to the feeding issue

If the brass eject after the shot fires, but the next round isn’t chambered, or if the bcg doesn’t lock back on an empty mag when you fire the last shot, that means it’s undergassed. My guess if that’s a stock rifle shooting factory new ammo is the gas block has come loose, and is misaligned. If it’s a newish rifle, I’d send it in for a warranty work.

If you are shooting some reloads, maybe try factory ammo, and load 2 rounds in the magazine. Open the bolt and bolt it with bolt catch, load the mag and use bolt catch to drop the bcg. Confirm the first round is stripped and chambered. Shoot first one, confirm brass ejects and next round is stripped from mag and chambers properly. Shoot the second one, confirm brass ejects properly and confirm bcg locks back on empty round.

Good luck and let us know what happens

Bullets jam in the barrel? As in like multiple squib rounds? Are you using the correct caliber for the chamber/ barrel?
If it has been a problem from 1st round, can you swap out BCG to rule it out? If not the BCG, gas block or gas hole in the barrel.

What type of feed ramps do you have on the Barrel Extension, and on the Upper Receiver?

Your symptoms are consistent with a Rifle Barrel Extension on a M4 Upper.

There's also a lot of other stuff that could explain your problems, but its worth checking the match of the feedramps. It only takes a couple of seconds.

User error? Do you use the mag as a foregrip? Using the mags as a grip can cause misfeeds and jams.

Since you have a factory built rifle, you should contact the manufacturer about a warranty claim. The issues you're having point to something that could potentially be dangerous.

                  ^^^yes.
My similar problem fix was gas key or change low end BCG

                    Sorry for your bad experiences.

"The Saint" needs to head back to Springfield Armory for re-anointing.

In all seriousness, good thing you changed it to featureless. I love maglocked guns, all mine are, but I also realize that for those new to the platform, having any of the common jams in a mag lock can be overwhelming for a beginner.

Try some good factory ammo if you can. Hopefully you weren't shooting questionable reloads. If you are shooting ball ammo, and this is happening, for sure HQ has to examine the gun.

Call them up Asap. They have been very very accommodating to me in the past when I've had issues with my Springfield 1911s. If your gun is stock, they will figure it out instantly.

Look for a lotta dirt & crud around the gas block. THAT'S an easy indicator of a gas leak.

Also, fyi, no way is that grip suitable for featureless.

Warranty is there for a reason.

*SA can be an-al about users tinkering with parts being replaced with aftermarket bling, grips, stocks, etc. Not saying they will be. It just doesn't look like the Cal-unicornia version they sell.

I'd also check the gas system.

I would definitely call Springfield and get a shipping label. Or have the FFL you bought it from return it for you. Springfield is awesome when it comes to warranty. I would return it to stock form if you have the parts still.

I am hoping you bought it brand new from the FFL and not second hand? That has nothing to do with the warranty work, but more about bubba'd parts/pieces.
