Law tactical folder question.

Sooo, how does one separate the AR upper and lower with a law tactical folder installed?
Does the BCG plug have to be removed to do this?
Or am I missing something obvious?
After watching videos and seeing the BCG plug protrude through the lower at the folding extension I got to wondering.
How do you go about separating the upper and lower in an emergency situation?

Yes. Fold it to the side press the button and pull back the charging handle. Take the plug out. Then slide the BCG back in. Close folder. Then can push pins and separate upper
