    question about Picatinny-Style 20 MOA Scope Base

    I have seen all differnet brands ranging from $30 to $150 and I was woundering if any one had any suggestions on what brand to go for? I just got a remington 700 sps tactical. I plan on using a leupold vxii 40mm. Also would you suggest a high mount or low mount and the same question about the rings?
    Thanks

    Badger or Nightforce 20MOA is my choice...

    you would want 20MOA if you want to use a lower cost scope (that don't have huge elevation adjustment) if you want to shoot distances (ie. 700yds+)

    some examples:

    low end = EGW(AL)

    middle = TPS, Ken Farrell

    hi-end = Badger, Nightforce, Seekins(AL)

      EGW 20MOA with TPS or Seekins medium rings. Like Jicko said, Badger is nice but a little pricey.

        Would guys recommend a high or low mount?

          Medium .885

          But it also depend on what scope you use, ie. how big is the objective lens

                  EGW is solid for the price.

                    i have a Remmy700 with a leuppy vx-III 40mm scope and i have the Leuppy Mark4 steel rings (medium) and a Leuppy Mark4 20 moa base. cant go wrong with that set up. plenty of clearance for a 40mm objective.
