There seems to be enough Carbine length ones out there. I just want it to work. Plus the carbine length gas sys works with the handguard i want to use.

            Ummm....

You must not do much online shopping for gun stuff, right?

Cuz the price differential between CTD and virtually EVERY OTHER ONLINE VENDOR does not exactly require some in depth analysis. It is generally huge and glaring when comparison shopping.

I know my definition...I posted about 50 9mm rounds swept off the warehouse floor. Go back and read it.

I was interested in your definition cuz I was just curious.

                Oh got it.

That was actually my first post into this thread, FYI.

I don't have a formal definition of course, but every single time I am internet shopping for something, and CDT comes up, out of morbid curiosity I check the pricing and it is invariably WAY higher than competitors.

Not sure it really is "price gouging" per se, which to me means there has to be some sort of outside influence generating a TON of demand... it's more like "preying on the ignorant" since they probably snag a lot of business from "just getting into guns" folks.

Like me, when I built out my AR, without knowing any better I bought a couple hundred rounds of 223 from CDT at what turned out to be exorbitant prices.

Just the fact that their warehouse floor has random bullets lying around on it should give one pause. Where did they come from? Who got shorted on their order by a few rounds, and how many of these poor souls were there? Not to mention the safety factor. I mean, I know they are not little landmines, but if you got random bullets laying around your floor, WHAT ELSE is wrong with you?

I second WOA recommendation. I bought this one before Xmas:

Did you not see the price of the steel ammo from ctd I posted? What gets me is the name. What the heck is with that? They could have chosen to go the pretentious route and called it, Tactics Unlimited, or whatever and pretended that they have the best stuff. But cheaper than dirt not only has the highest prices, but highest by a huge margin. Thanks Op for ragging on CTD, they deserve it.
