  • Yugo AK OAL muzzle extender?

So I need to bring a yugo ak to legal length for CA.
It's currently 24" folded. But it needs to be 30" or was it 27"?

Anyhow does anyone know where I can get a extender?
And is such extender legal if it simply screws on to the stock ak barrel threads?

Since this topic is here....I would like to know what everyone has to say about attaching a bayo to the rifle while folded to keep its OAL at 30" +.....cuzz were talkin OAL and not barrel length....right??

OAL is OAL. Just becareful when the bayo is on and when it is off. I personally don't like the idea.

I just dont like the idea of welding or pinning a perfectly good folder....or adding some type of stupid long muzzle device when a simple bayo attachment would suffice for OAL requirements.

No weld or pin. Try putting the internals together backwards or you can take out the spring and use a sleeve where the spring is.

The Yugo UF AK is a little under 26 inches long with the stock folded if you measure from it's longest point going back from the bare threaded muzzle, the back of the Yugo pistol grip.

Use this to get it over the 30 inch OAL needed. This is of course built as a fixed mag rifle.
5.5 inch extended muzzle brake. 14MM LEFT HAND THREADS

Attaching a bayonet that extends at least 4.5 inches from the muzzle will work also.

Bayo lug? Permanently? Or just put it on?

I would a AMD flash suppressor work?

A hose clamp would be good to fix the folder because it would keep the button from being pushed and it's not permanent.

The Tapco AMD extended FS is too short to use. I actually prefer fixing the stock on mine.

Cut a tube of the same diameter as the shaft in the underfolder mechanism in half and clamp in place with a hose clamp.
