    AK magpul stock

Anybody install a magpul stock on an AK? I'm trying to put one on a WASR, and no-go. It only comes with two screws, a "3/8" and a "1/2". But mine, the shorter screw is simply too short to even start to grab the threads on the nut. Maybe if it was a pan head it would catch, but it's countersunk, I think the shoulder is just not letting it drop in far enough. I'm using the correct screw in the correct spot, it's certainly much too short for the other spot. The 1/2" screw works in either position, in fact I accidentally put it in the shorter spot at first since it fit so cleanly. Anybody else run into this? I'm probably just going to Home Depot in the morning to buy a longer screw unless there's something just really obvious I'm missing.

I had one on a wasr before. I think this was the video I used to install it. If you have all the pieces that came with it, it should work fine

Which magpul stock? Does the "nut" for the shorter screw have a recess on one side?
      Poke'm with a stick!

It's the MOE stock, same as the video jcwatchdog posted (thanks). Unfortunately the video is zero help, he even completely skips the one screw I'm having trouble with and puts it in off camera. The nuts are identical, and only fit one direction, as they slide into a channel you can't put them in upside down. I don't know if maybe the tang on my WASR is "too thick". I'm just going to go get a new screw today.

I had one on a Zastava N-PAP. You have to buy an adapter to make it work. Then I took it off because it does not absorb recoil at all. Felt like shooting a short barrel shotgun.

Well on a WASR, no adapter needed, just seems the tang is a bit thicker. If anyone searches this thread again - the bolts are #10-34. I used a 1/2" machine screw and it worked just fine. The bolt head is hidden, so it isn't visible and doesn't matter that it's stainless and not black like the rest.
