Options for building AR9 with pistol grip?

Are there mag locks/bullet buttons/compmags available for building an AR9 with a pistol grip and a "detachable" magazine? Will most forend and stock parts made for AR15 fit an AR9, other than the receiver/bolt? (I do not know how to build an AR yet.)

I want to make something like this in 9mm, though I know the barrel would have to be longer.

Yes most ar15 accessories will fit on a 9mm aa. That stock is PDW stock.

You need a 9mm upper and a 9mm bolt. Mostly everything else can be milspec ar15 parts. There is a 9mm Ar15 thread on here with lots of info. Search it and you'll find good answers.

First step is choosing what kind of mags you want to run. Glock or colt.

Build it featureless and run drop mags freedom.

You will need Ar9 buffer that is heavier than normal otherwise most bottom end parts kits will be the same.

Cannot have both detachable magazine (as defined by California law) and a pistol grip on a center fire semi automatic rifle. If it was registered as an assault weapon years ago during various periods then exceptions might apply.
