The 10 rd mag that I have is made by Triple K and is all steel. I will suspect this one until it proves itself thoroughly. This one will not feed 3 in a row in that rifle right now. The OEM nags will generally feed the whole mag but are very rough right on the feed ramp.

Thanks for the mag. information guys.

Although I'd prefer metal over plastic, I'll pass on the Triple Ks - lot's of frustrating bad luck with some 1911 mags. in the past.

Yup, frustration with this one too. I got done with the ramp and chamber approach polishing, detail clean and lube. We shall see if it works better (or at all with the TripleK). No sense throwing the silly thing out. I would rather cuss at it and threaten it with my ballpeen hammer but keep messing with it all the same.

          You too, huh?
I've got a drawer full of "threats" of different shapes and sizes in my box. If that fails, I've got a 100 ton press at my disposal.

          ...then there's the forklift.

I have a 760 in 30-06 it drops the mags if you don’t practically hammer it in. I always hear, Open the bolt first then put in the mag. Well, that’s what I have been doing, thank you very much. It still drops the mags on occasion. This is not a very costly rifle, but I love the 06 i've tried other mags, same thing. It is just frustrating. The guys at sierra just laughed and said yeah what do you want from a detachable mag pump gun.

              Ivanimal,
My 7600P is just the opposite. I had to fit 3 of the 4 OEM mags that I have (the TripleK is another story altogether)just to get them to seat properly in the gun. One thing I have noticed, the design is such that the hammer lays against the back of the mag when in the fired position. In this postiton it is difficult to get a mag to seat on the first try. With the hammer cocked they now drop in and lock without any drama. I did not realize this whole thing was really a kit when I bought it; mag issues, feed ramp roughness etc., etc.

This is the new pump 223 rifle (from the Remington LE group, not the commercial group) that takes AR15 magazines.

I must confess that I ordered one this week. FFL said 30 to 45 days to ship. I’m so tempted to start buying accessories, however I think it would be wise for me to shoot the OEM’s configuration for a while before dropping any more $. My first project will be to determine if a Factory Tactical shotgun stock adapter for an AR15 stock can be mated to the 7615P. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

This makes me very excited. I plan on getting one as soon as possible.

                  lingcodkilla,

Let me know if you find any quality 10 round magazines (metal w/removable base plate). I’ve scoured the web to no avail. With the AW sunset, 20 & 30 round magazines have displaced 10 round magazines in the market place.

                    MadMex...

Try to get some Bushmaster or DPMS 10 rd AR magazines. Those are rumored to be OK, at least in AR15s.

One caveat since the stipulation was that the mag have a removeable base plate:

The Bushmaster 10's can't, or aren't designed to, be disassembled, IIRC.
