    Your AR15 builds

Am putting together my first ar15 and would be interested to hear what your builds are, or the things that your really glad that you added.

I ordered a m&p15 sport2 and 16" bear creek arsenal upper with side charging handle 1/8 twist 5.56 and 15" mlok handguard. Also a 510c holosun reflex and AR maglock gen4.

    thoughts and advice are welcome!

I like to add an ambi safety selector (short-throw on the right.) Handy with the CA fin/wrap/grip.

have you tried other featureless grips? I considered the Juggernaut Tactical but the ar maglock gen4 seems worth trying first.

Okay cool, good to hear. I was watching a video on it and it looks like it might be awkward with a side charging handle- especially clearing malfunctions; I guess Ill find out soon enough!

Buy ammo for that thing since it’s only going to get harder to find.

                You can accessorize later.

I do like the added ami safety. I shot one of my rifles that did not have one and was missing it. As far as your upper goes, you should apply thread locker to all threads asap. If you are going to store it for a while put some lube on too.

Swap the grip screw out to one that is capable of adjusting out most of the trigger slack.

I like to keep my Magpul MOE grip, so I use a Kydex grip wrap. This one slips on the MOE grip perfectly, works for me.

My preference for featureless grips is 1. Resurgent 2. Sparrow Dynamics. I hate grip fins; at least with the two mentioned my thumb can be over on the correct side of the rifle

WHAT are you wanting to ACCOMPLISH with this "upper swap (NOT, "build")?"

When it comes to featureless rifles, I've tried most of the older options: Hammerhead, Grip Fin, Headbutt shotgun stock adapters, and the Thordsen FRS. While it's my least favorite in terms of looks, the Thordsen has been my favorite in terms of handling. If I needed to build another featureless AR today, I'd look at the Sparrow Dynamics grip, too.

Regardless of what grip or stock you choose, I always recommend an ambidextrous safety selector. JoeBob Outfitters sells a basic one for $15 that I put on everything now. Sure, it's not as nice as the Battle Arms Development ambi selector, but it gets the job done for a fraction of the cost.

I think I may have missed the boat on that one, everywhere I look its sold out. Im definitely making it a priority though.
