AR parts and ammo were crazy cheap back in Feb. There were so many sales, like nonstop. Retailers couldnt give the stuff away. Even though I didnt need anything, I took full advantage. Sure glad I did. Last year was the time to go on a spending spree before the DROS fee went up.

Right. I shouldve purchased an AR then when I picked up my .45 and a .357 at Turners. Ugh.

Or at least a stripped receiver for $50-$100. Thats a no brainer.

How about getting a rifle kit without a lower receiver similar to this one:

Then buy a stripped lower from CG marketplace or your LGS.

Now I have a few bucks to buy one, I cant buy one!
Everything is out of stock! Now all I want is a simpleton M&P15 no bells and whistle, bone stock AR-15. Is that too much to ask? lol

I had one for sale last fall - stripped down, but I even put a newer M-lok tube on it, to make it MORE appealing. Looked like this.





It was nice - custom built by STS Arms out of Mapleton, OR over 10 years ago. I'd bought a Noveske SWS rail off a buddy of mine, and it was SO nice, I had a rifle built around it! Has a BCM LPK, save for that hinky DPMS bolt release I put on it. STS built the 14.7 p/w upper, and cerakoted both. Looked like THIS for MANY years, before I got kinda... bored... with it.




I had it priced to where I was losing money, and still no takers. That's when I decided to pull it after the first of the year, and keep it for PARTS, at a bare minimum.

Then the China Virus hoodwink goes into high gear, and I decided - "Why buy ANOTHER, when you can "build a 'new' one," that's ALMOST finished anyways?!" So I built it BACK up - even pulled the PSA heavy BCG, and picked up a lightly used Rainier Arms Nickel Boron heavy BCG for it, so that it's now the backup to my HD rifle, it's so nice!





So in short, thanks for NOT buying my rifle when it was dirt cheap, because I like it even better since I kept it.


As for finding an AR today? Look in UN-conventional places - smaller firearm boards - with people who wouldn't mind shipping to CA folk (any boards west of the Rockies) - Armslist - ANYPLACE... where you MIGHT dumb luck into something CLOSE to what you're looking for.

It's how I found AR's, mags, & ammo during the run-up to, and the early days of, the OBAMANATION. It may take a while, but it can be done again!

I went to ammos bros in cerritos last week, they said everything is special order...about a 12 week wait.

Called turners in signal hill looking to make an appointment for a ppt, and out of curiosity, I asked if they had anything in stock. They said they had 1 juggernaut ar.

I found one here and bought it.
