    FN scar

Right now I am living in Texas but thinking about moving back to CA, besides guns there really isn't much to do here. Anyway' I work in a gun shop and we just got the FN scar in today, first opinion it looked cool but after playing with it I really don't think I'd get one especially for the price of 5k, we also have an HK sl8 for 2k. I thought that was costly until that scar came in. I think I still like my DSArms para fal that cost me 3k and four months of waiting a lot better

Im in Oklahoma myself. I had an opportunity to pick up a SCAR to sell but I passed. I wanted to check it out, but it was too much cash to put on one gun.

Ordered my DSA STG58 last week. I was told that a 25 week wait could be expected.

That would be an option for about 900 more.thunderbird what options are you getting with you fal? Mine is the sa 58 type 1. 16 inch barrel, speed trigger job, np3 robar on all internals, railed hand gaurds, dura coat black, vortex flash hider, saw pistol grip para stock, also have have the eotech 552 xr308 rectical with 4x magnifier ordered it last August got it about 2 weeks before Christmas. But yea the scar in 556 I don't think is worth 5k

I actually ordered one of each of the three barrel lengths of the Austrian STG58s. plan is to keep one and sell the others. probably keep the 18". They don't have a ton of the bells and whistles, but they are reasonably priced FALs. I was going to get a kit, but there aren't as many as there used to be.

Just as well. I don't really need any more projects right now.

Man, don't move to California. This states government is full on socialist. If you value your freedoms stay in Texas. I plan on moving back to Georgetown Texas, as soon as I get layed off from my job. I am hoping they do lay me off, it will give me a great reason to leave this ****** up state.

Well I am from CA. Have only been in Texas for over a year, and not too sure I like it.here enough to stay, yes with my guns I would have to play the politics game but with some of the law suits being brought to the state concerning gun issues, that can only pave the way for possible assult weapons reverseal. Another no shooting ranges allow FMJ's how weak is that!.

having lived several places I have found that you always have to take the good with the bad. Both exist everywhere. In OK there isn't much in the way of entertainment, but it is quiet, has little crime, its a good place to raise kids, and lax gun laws are a plus. Most of Texas is the same way.

True. But I have lived in CA all my life except for here, it is just very boring! So we will see what the future brings.

You work at a shop and have to pay 5k?? That's pretty sad. I know where I could get one for 2.8k out the door right now...

Amen to that. This state is so screwed for money that they're cranking every revenue generation trick and dirty trick they can think of, EXCEPT for cutting spending.

Stay in Texas--you'll be able to shoot guns and magazines you can't get here, AND you'll have more money to buy ammo with. Even if we wipe all the gun laws off the Calif. books, the fact of the matter is that it's way cheaper to live in Texas.

(Austin is pretty metropolitan--most of my friends that left Calif. for Texas went there and love it.)

LOL who knows? I have heard of another place where they have one for 2,700 but that's still too much for a 556. If it were .308 maybe? But I like my fal rifles

hopefully the scar comes down in price when more inventory is available.

since you have actually held one, would a regular bullet button work? Or is someone going to have to come up with something different?
