hit up dreadnought78 here on the board, I know he has some uppers for good pricing. He is building my new upper and I wont say what it is yet but its TITS looking and functioning. I just have to come up with the rest of the cash. I'll post up pics and specs after I pick it up. (sorry for the short hijack, just excited)

id recommend looking for a CMMG, they have good quality and features for the money. Id also look at Bravo Company (BCM), you will spend a little more but they are good too. The cheapest Id go and still expect a solid rifle would be a Stag. Ive heard to stay away from DPMS.

For stocks, you should expect to spend around $60-$90 (depending on manuf.) for you standard m4 stock with all the necessary mounting hardware. Magpul and Vltor make some nice stocks but expect to pay a little more.

Also make sure you get a rear iron sight, most of the time complete uppers don't include one.

Unfortunetly, reasonably priced and upper assemblies don't belong in the same sentence. It seems the most reasonable would be Stag or Del-Ton. Please please please stay away from Hesse, Blackthorn, Vulcan or whatever name they are changing themselves to, to hide their terrible reputation.

For stock, you need the mounting hardware. It seems the cheapest would be to get yourself an A1 or an A2 fixed stock assembly. The next cheapest would be probably be a standard collapsible stock or a Magpul MOE.

            CMMG , Sabre , BCM , Noveske , Colt , LMT , Bushmaster.....these are all good uppers.

LMT , Colt , Noveske and BCM seem to be the best that I can think of.

Magpul makes a good reasonably priced stock in the MOE....and for a few bucks more...the CTR. I like the CTR myself...but opinions vary.

You may look at the MIAD grip too....from Magpul. Its pretty cool.

IMHO (that of an internet commando ), go with the SOPMOD. Might as well go with an LMT upper, too. Love my CQB MRP 16" piston. Of course, LaRue Stealths are beauties, too.

See above only because "reasonable" is "relative".
