My how times...and prices have changed! This line from the article, talking about the benefits of Wolf shows it best...
      - It is the cheapest ammo out there for .223, usually about 16 cents per round or less.

I've get mixed results when using Wolf ammo. I can usually get through 100 rounds or so, then the case will get stuck, and my extractor rips the lip off.

Well, it depends how much shooting you'll be doing. We had a guy in a two day carbine class I took in December shoot Wolf in his AR. He started with a clean rifle and didn't make it to the first reloading break before having FTE issues. I can't recall if he was using the lacquer or polymer stuff. He ended up buying reloaded brass ammo (it was all they had left) at the rangemaster's shack to finish the class.

Bottom line - If you are going to run your AR hard (300-700 rds/day), stick to brass ammo. If you are serious about shooting and saving some $$, go out and buy a Saiga (have it converted or don't, your choice) and shoot steel cased ammo 'till the cows come home.

One of the things I learned from that class: steel cased ammo works great in AK's, Saiga's & Glocks. Just my $.02

No problems in any of my AR's with Wolf ammo.

I started a thread about this a while ago. Here's the basics I've found out.

Wolf is fine for ARs, if your AR doesn't work with Wolf something is wrong with it. Wolf runs dirtier because the steel case expand less so gas goes around the case through the chamber and the dirty gases get your chamber dirty. It also has dirtier powder. Wolf is cheaper so it's good for plinking and if you don't care about reloading because you can't reload the steel casings effectivly. It is not the most accurate ammo at long ranges, but it works. If you have a mix of ammo shooting with your AR, shoot your brass ammo first. The Wolf makes your chamber dirty and can cause stuck shells with brass ammo. My buddy and I ran 1000 rounds roughy of Wolf through his AR, and all we did is lube and cleaned his chamber every so often and we had no problems.

I ran a case of Wolf Military Classic through my Stagg and didn't have any issues. I clean my rifle after every range trip, so it never really gets dirty.
I am now half way through a case of PMC and haven't had any issues. I'll buy Wolf again.

                          Wolf is fine for plinking.

                          As a side note...

I found some old lacquered stuff and ran 500 rounds as fast as I could through it (took about 15 minutes with 10rd mags on a BB AR). Not one FTE or FTF.
