    M1 carbine issue

So while out shooting my m1 carbine the bolt came loose from the slide somehow this past weekend. It popped out of the channel that moves it for lack of a better description. The only thing different was we were using up some old (60's?) ammo that was a little rough and didn't want to charge you sometimes had to push the bolt closed. Brought it home a cleaned it but we don't see anything particularly wrong. I did manage to lose the spring for the pin that is suppose to hole the slide open. I did see how they expected that to work certainly with the old style straight pin.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

Who made the gun? Is this a GI m1 carbine or a commercial copy?

Don't know it only says US carbine on it. Inherited it many years ago from my dad. Haven't taken the time to research it much. I know from trying to figure out what was missing on the slide pin that it had the old style straight barrel pin so I think it's 40's but who knows it could be a hodge podge of parts.

Take a few photos of it and include a picture of the top rear of the receiver where the manufacturer's name and the serial number should be.

It says Alpine which means it's a 60's manufacture but I still enjoy it Does that help with the problem?
