Griffin qd gen 2 blast shield fitment question

Hi all, apologies in advance if this has been asked already but I wasn’t able to find in threads.
I have a bcm upper with a bcm comp mod 0.
Just received my griffin qd blast shield which has the briefest install instructions ever.

When I was looking at the blast shield several reviews stated they had the bcm comp mod 0 and it fit perfect! https://www.griffinarmament.com/qd-blast-shield-gen-2/

I’m not sure if I’m doing it wrong or if it’s supposed to be lose but when I put it on it has a decent amount of swivel moment even when locked.
Was looking for help on fitment or if I need to do Anything that wasn’t described.
Thank you for your help in advance!

OP, can't help with your question just passing along a PSA that the comp lists flash hiding as one of its attributes.

Doesn't matter on a fixed mag build.

    Cheers.

Saw that video but he did it on a brake that didn’t fit properly and he says so. So I’m still unsure how to mount properly. Mine didn’t spin like he says it won’t when it’s locked but it does have some movement. It comes with shim set. No instructions and I’m not sure if it’s needed.

I don't have one, but I planned on buying one and as a result, did a lot of reading on it and I inquired with Griffin about it and here's what I've gathered:

1- It may or may not work with other muzzle devices. Griffin claims that it will fit other muzzle devices, but here is their disclaimer:
"*Silencer interface was designed to fit the USGI A2 government contract compliant muzzle devices. We cannot guarantee fitment with an A2 style compensator due to the broad tolerance range of both import and domestic devices from various brands. For guaranteed fitment, we recommend the purchase of a Griffin mount. "

2- You will need want to remove your current muzzle device and re-install it using the stop washer provided with the QD blast shield. This is the washer with the little tab sticking out. This tab is prevent you from inserting the blast shield too far and helps with alignment of the QD mechanism. This tab washer should be pointing down at 6 o clock position and should align with the QD blast shield so that the locking mechanism is coming out on the left side. The shims are used to time your muzzle device so you must use them if necessary.

Hope this helps.....Give this a try and report back.

from Griffin's website , The last sentence says it is NOT compatable with BCM MD's
"The Griffin QD Blast Shield is compatible with our line of SDQD mounts in 7.62 and 5.56mm, Including the Flash Comp, Muzzle Brake, Linear Comp, Compensating Flash Hider, and Tactical Compensator. It is also compatible with A2 Compensators that fall within the USGI A2 spec blueprinted dimensions. Although many companies manufacture A2 style compensators not all of them are dimensioned properly. Not Compatible with BCM, BCE or PWS muzzle devices."
