sigpicIf you loan someone twenty dollars and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I plan to buy a 5.56 upper that will also take the .223 rounds. Looking at distances of 200 to 600 yards. I know 600 yards is a bit of a stretch for .223.

Evocative of the superb accuracy and reliability of the ArmaLite AR-10(T), this rifle was engineered with the same eye for distinction as all of ArmaLite's famed (T) rifles.
Triple lapped, stainless steel 20" barrel, National Match trigger set, free floated barrel, every specification of this rifle is intended for outstanding accuracy and precision. As a light caliber target rifle, the ArmaLite M-15A4(T) has no equal.

                  He wants an AR-15.

600yds will need high velocities (long barrels) and high twist rates so you can push 75+gr rounds out there, if you want to shoot accurately. It's really reloading territory, unless you want to pony up for match ammo.

Much of what's good isn't available right now. Rock River Arms has some of the best options for a target/varmint rifle. Another great option would be a White Oak Armament 26" space-gun varmint upper.

Any good AR will shoot sub-moa with match ammo.

I would go with one of these: http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.c...ategory_id=270
                    I would probably get a 20" or 24".

Which one I am in a similar boat as this dude. I want a mid-range target rifle and I already have a 16" RRA A4 (pre-ban) quad-rail, eotech, whizbang bad***** and I have a remington 700PSS .308 for long range.

I have a Bushmaster DCM lower (pre-ban) I want to trick out next. I want something to punch tight groups, drill varmints at ungodly distances and blah blah blah. I am trying to decide between the 20" and the 24" I wish someone made a 22" that didn't cost an arm, leg and my first born.

                      What to do???

The one I showed IS an AR-15....Armalite M-15 to be exact. They just mentioned that it stems from the AR-10T accuracy and reliability.
