    Mag with Dates/Importing Legality???

    Hi,

Looking to import a few colt mags disassembled into rebuild kits. They have date markings along with "Military/Law Enforcement Only". Someone told me that mags with dates cannot be shipped into CA (ie. post-ban). Is this true? Are there any laws concerning when mags parts were built? Thanks.

The Model 610 was classified as the XM177[3] but adopted by the Air Force as the GAU-5/A Submachine Gun (GAU = Gun, Aircraft, Unit.) The Army purchased 2,815 Model 609 CAR-15 Commandos on June 28, 1966, which were officially designated Submachine Gun, 5.56 mm, XM177E1. - Wikipedia

Take a look at this letter from the DOJ...

What mags are you talking about? All I got from this thread is a handful of plastic and metal parts!
