I'll admit I was tired of my AR's for a little while, I started really enjoying moving targets like clays and ducks. finally got back in to My AR's. I'm looking at na AR pistol next

All of my ARs are disassembled and stored. Too much of a gray area and I'm not interested in getting into trouble. I mostly use shotguns now. The ammo is a lot cheaper anyway

A friend and I are going up to the NF in the Crystal Basin for a few days camping after the snow showers this week. The ranger says dispersed camping is legal, just discouraged. I can’t think of a more social distancing than 10 miles in.
What to take is the quandary? The newer PC carbine for sure. Probably the Garand because I have cases of of old surplus that aren’t getting younger. My buddy says he’s bringing his mini 14 and glocks. Oh yes, a couple tricked out 10-22s.
I can’t wait. Hell I got packed up and staged last week.
        Best,
        Mike

why not go featureless or dfm fixed mag? there's no gray area there.

            any long range places nearby?
you can get a precision gas gun and it doesn't matter that it is featureless because you don't want to wrap your thumb around the grip for LR target shooting anyway, and you wouldn't want to run around with a 12lb rig anyway.

there is something strangely satisfying about hitting something you can't even see with the naked eye.
this is only 600 yards away.
