    Bay Area Gunsmith

Hey there, any recommendations for a good gunsmith in the Bay Area who can pin an aluminum muzzle brake/extension to an already threaded barrel?

I was hoping maybe someone had a good experience with a gunsmith in the bay area and might want to pass that along.

Yeah that seems like the thing to do.

sorry I didn't see this earlier, by you can ask Marc at Spartan precision rifles in San Jose (just a few blocks from SJ airport) he has built and barrelled my last few rifles. not sure what his workload/schedule is but just to drill and pin maybe he can do it right away.

EDIT: sorry was thinking i was in the manual forum, maybe I should lay of the sauce during the day.... Marc only works on bolt guns

Nice guy to deal with. Custom built AR's is his specialty. It's a part time business so his hours are variable.
Hope he's still in business- that's always the question now involving pretty much any small business nowadays. Good luck.

I just saw your replies, thanks for the recommendations. I have just pinged ar15barrels, if I don't hear back, will try them. I'm in the north bay so it's almost easier to ship the barrel.

I sent the barrel to ar15barrels, however it's still nice to know who is a good smith local to the Bay Area. More things will come up.

There is a huge market in the Bay Area for gunsmiths. Good luck my fellow calgunner you will ultimately enjoy doing it yourself.

Best gunsmith in the Bay Area in my opinion is Nathan at Bay Area Gunsmithing. He is located in Novato and is as honest as the day is long. He has worked on all my KAC and Desert Tech rifles with regards to pin and welding.
