Ask KelTec for a group buy?

Since Stevil found out that KelTec won't supply him with an SU-16C equipped with a A/B style stock, the thought occurred to me that perhaps they would if the stakes were a bit higher.

I imagine making up a one-off generates little interest for them, but if we were to submit an order for 10, 20, perhaps even 50, that situation might change.

Obviously they have the parts, it is the will that is lacking. It takes no more work to assemble a 16C with a 16A/B stock, but we have to give them a reason for doing so. The only reason most manufacturers respond to is $$$, no? So, lets give 'em some.

Anyone interested in inquiring along these lines?

I called Kel-Tec (see my post). There has been talk there...yet no decision...regarding a CA-compliant C variant. However, I was informed that the B and C have equal diameter barrels...leaving only the threads as an advantage.

Not contradicting what you are saying, but in the pictures of the C and B versions, the barrels are very obviously different. The B has a very slender barrel (even KelTec's own website mentions that it is both shorter and smaller in diameter than an A barrel), while pictures of the C barrel show it to be rather stout.

Reports that I have read list the OD of the C barrel at .625, and the B barrel at .550, but then again, I have gotten gobbledegook answers from manufacturers before!

Reading this over, I AM contridicting what you are saying, but there is no malice intneded.

lol, I know...maybe try calling them and see if you get a different answer?

He actually said that of the three the A version has the thickest barrel, while the B and C have barrels of equal diameter.

Can someone please photoshop an example of what this thread is referring to?

            Thanks in advance.

Well count me in for one without a doubt. As far as barrels go, I think the C is the same diameter as the A BUT it's shorter and less "whippy". The B has a lot thinner barrel.
