with a vice mounted in your garage =). I got another barrel for my rifle and want to swap out. If you have the tools that would be awesome. I have a friend that will mail me his but doesn't want to deal with the usps for a couple months.

I just got an Inland M1 carbine and the rear sight is so far off I have the sight all the way to the left to get on target. Maybe I just need a vice and can stack some pennies on one side and slowly tighten the vice and shift the sight 2mm or 3mm. I think 2 is fine.

Worth a try. Make a little brace for in between the sight blades. Use some wood blocks in the vice, & yes, pennies can work. Or a piece of hard plastic. They push fairly easily as long as corrosion isn’t out of control. Maybe soak it with penetrating oil for a day or two before.

I’ve made all sorts of home style sight pushers that worked pretty good, albeit look a little rough, LOL.

Good idea I better put the oil now. I read a post where another guy had the same issue and the pentrating oil helped and his was just like mine. We both can see the punch marks where they staked it and for some reason it seems to have shifted to the right but when I tapped pretty hard with a brass punch there was no movement. I'm all for the diy and not buying a one time use tool. Thanks Dave.
