On my reloads even at the max load I have tested, the "imprint" of the chamber is quiet less than German mil brass. Most if not all "flute marks" are just powder residue, after tumbeling the powder residue is removed and after re-sizing the marks are gone. I have also found case stretch is minimal if inital trim is 2.005".
One of my friends reloads for his 308's and collects all my DAG empties. He mods the primer pockets, re-sizes them, trims them and reloads them just fine. He says the DAG cases are tougher than commercial brass.

He also dabbles in steel cased reloads for 9mm , 45acp, 223 mostly.
