Hesse HK91 clone, whats it worth.

My brother in law has one he might be willing to sell, we just dont know what they are going for, also its here in Minnesota so we would have to make it cali legal before shipping, so if someone can let me know what it might be worth I may post it up in the for sale section. Thank you

If it a Hesse with the aluminium reciever it will not be worth very much. Hesse and DC industries have a horrible reputation for the G3 receivers.

In today's market, a Hesse might go for more than it originally sold for. Having said that, pretty much every varient of the HK that was made by Hesse could be considered as "Bottom of the Barrel". Worse even than Century Arms.... Every one that I've encountered had serious flaws in the construction of the receiver. They must not have had the correct dies for stamping the receivers, and many were hammered by hand to force parts to fit together.

I would definitely want to inspect and fire a Hesse in person before purchasing. If it functions reliably and has decent bolt gap, I'd suggest about $500 to $600.

Another option is the PTR series of rifles. They're more expensive, but are pretty much on par with original HK-91's in terms of quality and function.
