Local gunsmith made wood stock for Ruger PC Carbine

John, a local gunsmith and the owner of Bastiani Arms in Redding, CA has crafted a wood stock for his Ruger PC Carbine. This is a prototype or proof of concept. John asked that people share this photo to generate interest because he hopes that Boyd's Rifle Stocks will consider making wood stocks for the PC Carbine.

Looks good, I hold out hope that Ruger will make a wood stocked non takedown model, even though I live in a free state I prefer the traditional look.

Looks good. Hope it is universal for shooting with either hand.

We've been cheated, there's only a pic of one side. Fairness demands a pic of both sides of the stock.

                I'd buy that

Looks good!Is the wooden stock lighter or heavier than the factory plastic stock?

Very nicely made. I’ve always been a synthetics guy..never liked wood on anything. But as a craftsman, Knifemaker & gun builder, I appreciate the skill that went into that. I wish him luck with Boyds.

It’s kind of like putting a dress on a pig but it’s a very nice stock. I have a Ruger mini with standard wood and would like to upgrade it

That thing looks awesome. I like it a lot more than the one that comes from the manufacture. I wish there were more options generally for stocks for both the Ruger and the Mossberg rifles and carbines. Both leave something wanting. Hope your friend is successful in bringing this to market or getting another company to do so.

Looks nice! I think a gray laminated wood stock (like some of Boyd’s other stocks) would look really cool.
