AK 10 Round Double Stack Mags

I have been searching high and low for AK 10 round double stack mags and have only found them at coldwarshooters and they are out right now. Does no one else carry these? I don't want to deal with the 10/30 mags at this point just the standard 10 rounders because they are going into saiga modified to accept standard mags with no pistol grip though. So going 30 plus rounds takes me out of being a sporterized rifle and then I play the 922R game which I don't want to do at this point. Do you guys have a good source for them?

If you want 10 round mags now, then you can just buy Chinese 5 round magazines and then swap out the follower with the short Tapco follower to convert it to 10 round magazine. There's plenty of 5 round magazines on the market right now. The cost is about the same as if you were to pick it up from a vendor who has 10/10 double stack magazines right now after doing the 10 round conversion.

I know some will have ther doubts but if you are only using them for the range go with Pro Mag. Seriously I like them for informal / range shooting. I have had a couple for about 2 years no problems. Plus if you like to grip the mag while shooting these are better than standard 10 rd mags as they are a bit longer. Also it looks like Thermold makes 10 rd double stack mags. I have not seen them on the market but according to Thermold website it does exist.

My rule with AK's is that you'll have no issues with the old commie bloc stuff.

Never tried the Promag, any experiences?

5 rounders with short follower. Genius I never knew that was how they did it.
