    Sling help needed

I have a magpul moe stock and a front sling swivel under the front sight base. I need a sling that I can thread through the stock’s sling slot and through the front swivel. I can’t find a sling that does that. They all seem to have a QD attachment which I do not have. This is my first AR platform and I do not know much about slings for this rifle. Any sling suggestions? A link would be great. Thanks.

pretty much whatever sling you get, you can chose the attachment type for both ends or change one or both with the type you want.

if your stock has a slot, you can remove whatever is on one end of the sling and run the sling strap directly through the slot. there are also small adapters with buckles so you don't have to keep the entire sling attached all the time.

without seeing and knowing exactly what you have, it is hard to help more.
most slings are going to have either no attachment, or both ends the same.

as for suggestions, i like the BFG Vickers sling, but there are many variations of the same and you might find good deals if you search around.

Find the sling you want and just take the QD swivel off and thread the sling through your front loop and your stock. Of course be sure and get a sling that allows removal of any included hardware.

I like the VTAC 2-point sling.

i use the BFG two point slings that were mentioned. Works great. They even have a padded version. Can use with and without a QD mount. Simple and straightforward. Used to use three point slings but found retention difficult when transitioning on the move.

Here are a few 2 point slings that don't have permanet QDs or hooks attached:

STI 2 point sling. It's simple and will attach to the FSB sling swivel and footman's loops in your MOE stock.

Magpul's basic MS1 and even more basic RLS should work well too.

The Blue Force VCAS should also work in your application.

I own all off the above except the Magpul RLS. I attach them all with QD swivels, but I've also tried them in your intended KISS configuration and they work acceptably that way. 2 point adjustability mounted on the FSB sling swivel while slung isn't as ideal as when they're mounted off the side of the handguard, but they still adjust sufficiently. Of all of them I currently like the STI the most for its simplicity and cost.

                    Good 2 Point Sling video:

how is your rifle set up now? Pics? Knowing what you have and what you want would help folks ID possible solutions.

Buy a 2 point sling and a cat collar (black). Thread sling thru the front loop and put the collar in the loop in the stock. Simple and cheap DIY.
