AR Experts chime in! 24" barrel requires which buffer tube?

I'm very new to the AR game. I own a 556 that was built, works great, have only had it apart to clean it.

I'm now building a 24" 224 valkyrie rig, and want to make sure I get the correct lower built kit including buffer spring. I was about to pull the trigger on a standard magpul kit, but wanted to check with the experts on here first whether or not I need a rifle length buffer? Or just a certain spring.

A 24" Valkrie barrel should use an extended rifle gas system and a rifle buffer tube, rifle buffer and spring for best operation.
A carbine length tube/buffer/spring could also be used, but it would not run as smoothly as a Rifle length buffer system.

    Most work performed while-you-wait.

I’ve had a good experience with VLTORs A5 rifle buffer system. It’s a good option if you want an extending butt stock.

If you are opting for the PRS stock, then a rifle buffer system is your best and cheapest option.

There is also the Armaspec system. I have it, it works.

its complicated sometimes but rifle length gas system can use any there should be no real difference in feel no need for h2 a typical 3 oz would be fine

but for me if i was using a long barrel i would want a fixed stock just on reasons of consistant shoulder feel and overall appearance of the rifle

                        Luth AR MB-3 iirc.
I've since gone featureless really only changing the grip and adding an ambi selector.

I had a carbine length tube and spring in mine for years. It worked but cycled what seemed like, in slow motion. I didn't think much of it. Just though is was a 24 inch barrel thing. When I finally broke the thing down years later (just to put a solid stock on it to make it featureless) I discovered what I did. Replaced it with a rifle length spring and tube, now it cycles A LOT better.

                              Did not "fix" the stock?
