Does Anybody NOT own an AR?

I am not sure if I am an anomaly in today's world, but I own dozens of firearms and not an AR amongst them. No particular reason, just never caught up with one, or something else caught up with me. Three brothers, all own guns well into the double digits total, and no ARs there, either.

I don't know if the AR owners in California are that prevalent, or they just post more, but it seems that at least 80% of those that own a centerfire rifle in California own an AR.

So, just wanted to see what kind of ratio we might have, and I am NOT interested in another AR pros and cons thread, just trying to figure how far out of the mainstream we are.

You know, I own one ( which is my second one) an honestly I really don't even want it anymore. I enjoy shooting my Wasr10 so much more, even though so many people talk trash about them. The cost of ammo is just about the same price, but depending on where you go x39 tends to be a little harder to find. But I may soon be one of the only gun owners in CA to not own a AR.

Well, being that the AR is like the small block Chevy of black rifles plus the fact that they are modular & accurate, the combo makes for a very attractive rifle. Also being able to build one over time makes them more affordable. My first black OLL rifle was my PTR-91, which is still my favorite. I own several AR's in all configurations & enjoy them all.

I PM'd Bill Wiese last month on the numbers of OLL AR's in the state. He said that in 2006, when the first ones were coming in, the estimate was 30,000. Now in 2009, he estimates 125,000 to upwards of 200,000 in state.

Seems like those that do are catching up to if not passing those that don't!

I do have one. Its fun to shoot and tinker with. Honestly though, my friends find it "cooler" than I do. With the price of ammo and components I am considering making it into a precision type gun instead of a "go through 2-300 rounds in an hour with your buddies" gun.

I don't..... At the beginning of OLL craze I have bought five lowers.... but then I didn't have high caps for them ( as oppose to other rifles that I do have ), so I have sold all lowers.....
Decided to stick with 7.62 caliber rifles :-)

I have lowers that I bought "just so I'd have them". But, they are not build, and I don't know if/when I'll build them. So, technically, I don't really own an AR. Have a great time shooting our Mini-14s, and we don't get mobbed as they look plain enough.

I've never had a desire for one but lately I've been looking at .50 Beowulf uppers and I think I'm going to finally break down build one up.
