Building a new featureless ar got some questions

It is a brake. The end is closed with a .25” exit hole and the slots divert the blast up and out both sides. Works very well actually.

It really is a good brake. I have one on my AR15 and my Mini-14. Not as good as the compact Tri-Delta brake, that they discontinued about 2 years ago, but really good.
