Save your money. Use the A2 compensater. Unless you spend lots of time night shooting it will serve for the occasional night shoot.

Vortex is good for minimal flash, but is annoying as hell. It mimics a damn tuning fork.

If the pistol runs properly just shoot it in low light and see for yourself. Real world testing for yourself will pay off. *Youtube videos do not present reality IMO.

Have been out of the loop on the AR platform for awhile since been stuck on the 1911. From what I need besides AR maglock and kingpin is just a muzzle brake (no FH?). Was interested in the Ferfrans CRD.

Ha LOL sorry moving too quick between three monitors in my office (professional office jockey ).

I really like using the Noveske Pig because it helped direct the muzzle energy forward inside of a kill house. Recently made one of my AR builds featureless and have neglected the pistol build. Trying to catch up on my reading and the AR maglock plus a kingpin looks like a decent setup.

AR pistol for sd is loud and the flash won't matter because you'll be deaf. Another discussion entirely.
The standard A2 military comp works pretty well at night. Even on sbr/pistols. Try it. If you haven't done this you're stuck with photos/videos and other peoples subjective opinions.
Very good results are obtained with an A2 on a 20" AR du jour. Just like E.S. designed it to be. [emoji848] (Original was a 3 prong unit and was very good,but not soldier proof. Colt developed the A1 & A2)
So test it. At the very least you establish a base line for YOU. You can compare with other comps.
*No brakes used for sd purposes. IMHO.

I have a Noveske pig on my 10.5" and not all that impressed with it. My new 11.5" has an A2, but I haven't shot it so can't comment yet.
