    458 socom upper advice

Looking to get a 458 socom upper. I’ve heard tromix are the best. Looking for the best bang for the buck tho. I’ve seen black rain ones and some ar15part.com ones. Anyone have experience with either one of these? Here’s links to the ones I’m looking at. Thanks for the input.

I did read some people were happy with another complete upper brand that was pretty cheap but I forgot the name of it. It had a cool looking rail on it. Very futuristic looking maybe it was one of the ones in your links.

Whichever you choose, be sure to go with a company using the approved chamber reamer.
          That said, Tromix.

                radical firearms

well, you said "best bang for the buck". with that said, it doesn't sound like you care to spend the most possible. I went with a radical firearms complete upper for much less than a tromix and have had ZERO issues with it. it's 100%reliable, accurate and FUN and RF stands behind their products. it came with a CH and BCG, though I've replaced the BCG with a FZ, which I've done with all my ARs. so if you have the cash to burn then by all means get a tromix. if not, you'll be more than happy with RF.

                      Tromix.

When you're talking about .458 SOCOM, the words "bang for your buck" are not you friend. Call Tony. He'll do right by you and you'll have an upper to be proud of.

My 458 Socom upper came from gun broker, vender is "other gun." Not sure what brand it is or makes it but nice lightweight upper and no issues and reasonably priced.

Honestly, if you are looking for a bang for the buck upper, you probably shouldn't be looking at one at all. The ammo is 3 bucks a shot. If you don't have the money for an upper, you don't have the money for ammo, and it doesn't matter what upper you have if you can't afford to feed it. What is the point of having a cheap upper sitting in the back of your safe because you can't afford to shoot it.

Tromix has reasonably priced builder kits available with all the difficult work done. They’re perfect.
