    Magpul Ranger floor plate magazine?

Is this worth buying or waste of money?

The only real use I liked out of them is if you use them as a sort of 'mono-pod', resting the weight of the rifle atop The ranger plate. Since it's plastic and rubberized, any pressure that could damage or bend the polymer body of a pmag or aluminum body of a USGI mag will get absorbed by that. Plus, the rubberized-ness kinda helps with keeping the rifle in place when used as a mono pod.

I have no experience using ranger plates while wearing a vest or anything though.

Ok thanks. I'm trying to find a regular USGI magazine floor plate to replace my old ones but nobody sells them.

        They're great for

        a) pulling out of a chest rig
        b) protecting the baseplate if you drop your mags onto hard surfaces often

Besides that, they have a pretty limited scope of use IMO.

Definitely no on A but might consider B for my range usage. Thanks.

Kinda pricey... I think you'd have a better chance finding what you need posting a wtb here or arfcom

ALL my chest rig, battle belt, and vest mags have 'em. If you plan on WEARING mags, they're what you WANT.

                bicycle inner tube work...

How do you shoot your AR?

3 gun? Home Defense? Classes with turning times and buzzers?
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

For 10 round magazines, they’re great, giving you something to tug on after reloading.

They help me when mags coming out of a pouch. Little extra to grab onto. I find them more useful with aluminum mags.

FYI, you could just use standard, actual Magpuls to get the same effect, and they are less expensive:

You're right! with that price I'd rather get a new mags. Too bad! they are exactly what I'm looking for. Appreciate the links.

I search their site and they have one that doesn't have the loop thingy but the price is half of one GI mag. Too bad because I like the idea of a bumper protection on the bottom. Thank you for the link.
