Not long ago, I strongly considered buying a 9mm carbine for home defense. 9mm ammo is affordable and fun to practice with. But I already had a 9mm handgun, so I felt that a 9mm carbine with ten rounds wasn't enough of an increase in power to warrant the hassle of a carbine's length and weight. But if standard capacity magazines are legal again, then I think the game has changed. A 9mm carbine with a 30 round magazine seems worth it. I may have to give the Ruger PC Carbine another look soon.

Same here, I actually bought a bunch of Glock 19 mags in preparation of buying a Ruger PC carbine. -
I didn't care for the extra length of the 33's sticking out so I ordered a bunch of Magpul/Glock 21 rounders for my Ruger PC9.Originally posted by Sierra57Civil War 2.0 - If it comes to pass, the America-hating Leftists will have brought it upon themselves. I agree with OP's sentiment. My Ruger PC Carbine with 10 round magazine was not a significant enough improvement over my Ruger 10 round pistol. But with some Ruger SR9, 17 round magazines, the carbine kicks the pistol out of the competition. The two packs of Ruger mags is a good bargan. If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to.
